My love of MMORPGs began with SWG. Before this game I had only played PC games such as Myst and Monkey Island. I love those type of games. I was never fond of RP games because I didn’t like to fight. I just wasn’t good at it.

However, I am a Star Wars fan, and someone told me about this game called Star Wars Galaxies. I was told that this game was an MMORPG. What is an MMORPG I wondered? Well, I was told it was a game where you create your own person, live in a virtual world and interact with other real people. I was told that in this game you could be a Jedi or a Bounty Hunter. You could even be a crafter making things for people and selling them, or be a dancer or musician if you wanted. I didn’t have to fight at all! I had to check this game out. Well there it began, my MMORPG addiction. Of course i did get over my fear of battle, and later tossed out my dance gear for a pistol, and then later became a Bounty Hunter. I have been playing MMOs ever since.

I have been writing in the gaming industry for the last 5 years. Some of you may know me from IGN’s EQ2 Vaultnetwork and MMORPG.COM. I have also had features in EQuinox, the Everquest II magazine. Currently I am working as a freelance game reviewer/critic, and also doing an editorial now and then.

I am currently attending college with plans to attain a BA in Communications, and then go on to get my masters in Creative Writing.
