Recently I left the guild I had been in for the past 10 months because I was no longer able to keep raider status due to their late raiding schedule and my RL schedule. No they didn’t kick me. They aren’t that type of guild. I was however moved to a status that was allowed to raid, but not allowed to bid on any items unless no one else wanted them. This seemed kind of silly, and so I decided I would leave and look for a raid guild that started earlier so that I could actually maintain raider status.

I began looking and actually found a well known raid guild that is looking for Conjurors. It is not easy to find a guild looking for a Conjuror. I applied with them, and they seemed very friendly. I did two test raids with them, and on the second raid I did very well on the parse and even topped it a few times. It was really looking up, and I was hopeful that my app would be accepted. I was very excited to know that I would be able to raid and actually be finished early enough to go to bed at a decent time.

Tonight I was all set to go on my third and hopefully final raid with this guild. I was waiting for the raid invite when the guild leader, who seems like a really nice guy, sends me a tell and tells me that due to the fact that I will have to leave raids early they are going to pass on me. I reply that I am confused because I would be able to make all raids for the entire duration. One of the reasons I applied there. He then tells me that he is confused and someone told him that I had to leave raids early, and to hold on he was going to find out what was going on.

So I wait for what seems an eternity, probably only 10 mins, but you know how it is when you are waiting to find something out. The guild leader sends me another tell and tells me that he has found out the real reason, and it is because someone or some people in the guild from my past do not like me. I am actually pretty shocked by this. I am not trying to brag about myself here, but I am super nice to everyone in game, and I always go out of my way to help others, especially guildmates. He says he doesn’t really know why exactly, and well we leave it at that.

I look at the guilds roster and there is no one on the guild list that I even know, except one person who I know likes me. I speak to this person and find out that apparently there are a lot of people in the guild that used to be in a guild I was in way back when the game released. Four years ago! I left that guild on good terms, and as far as I know everyone there liked me, and I know I was never rude or hateful to anyone there and I was always helpful. I left that guild because my hubby left it and wanted to switch servers. I moved because he moved. Back then I always stayed in the same guild with my hubby, and now we haven’t been in the same guild in years. We just have different play-styles. Still like I said, it wasn’t on bad terms, and I can’t think of anyone from that guild who would dislike me so much that they would make up a lie and say I had to leave raids early to keep me out, and then finally come out and just say they didn’t like me, and don’t like me so much that they would not want me in the guild.

In fact the people I played with in that guild is the main reason I came back to my home server. I missed them all and wanted to play with them again, but sadly when I came back none of them were playing any longer. Obviously they were, but were all on alts…

It really upsets me that there is someone out there in the game that dislikes me that much. I hate to think that I did something to someone that was that horrible, especially if I can’t even remember it! Well at least this gives me a new article idea, but boy am I going to be trying to figure this one out for a long time!
